A dump trailer has an enclosed bed that lifts hydraulically to unload — it's for hauling loose material like dirt, gravel, concrete, and debris, and dumping it without shoveling. A flatbed or equipment trailer has an open deck for carrying vehicles, machinery, and oversized loads you drive or load on and strap down. If you're moving loose material, rent a dump trailer; if you're hauling a machine or a vehicle, rent a flatbed or equipment trailer.

For the trailers most renters use, a standard Idaho driver's license is enough — no CDL required. Very large or heavy combinations can have different requirements, so if you're towing something substantial, ask us and we'll confirm. Either way, make sure your vehicle's towing capacity and hitch are rated for the loaded trailer weight.

It depends on the trailer and your vehicle. Most of our trailers use a standard 2-inch ball hitch, and many are within range of a half-ton truck or a properly equipped SUV — but a loaded dump or equipment trailer needs real towing capacity and, in most cases, a working trailer-brake connection. Both. Most renters tow trailers themselves from our Nampa or Caldwell yard, since trailers are built to pull behind your own vehicle. We also deliver across the Treasure Valley if you'd rather have it dropped at your site — delivery fees depend on distance from either yard.

A valid driver's license, a credit card for the deposit, and a tow vehicle with the right hitch and enough towing capacity for the loaded trailer. We'll check the lights and connection with you at pickup and go over safe loading and tie-down. First-time renters are welcome — tell us your load and we'll set you up right.
