Skid Steer Rental FAQs

How much does it cost to rent a skid steer in Nampa or Boise?

Rates depend on the model, size, and rental duration. Hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly rates are available across the fleet, and you can see live pricing for any unit by selecting your dates in our online rental portal. For job-specific quotes or to confirm availability, call us at (208) 495-5858.

What's the difference between a wheeled skid steer and a compact track loader?

Wheeled skid steers are faster, more maneuverable, and best on paved, gravel, or hard-packed surfaces. Compact track loaders have better traction and lower ground pressure, making them the right choice for soft, muddy, or uneven terrain. For most Treasure Valley jobs in spring and fall, a track loader is the safer pick. In summer on dry, packed ground, a wheeled machine often runs cheaper and faster.

Do you deliver skid steers to my location?

Yes. We deliver across the Treasure Valley, including Nampa, Boise, Caldwell, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Middleton, and Kuna. Delivery fees depend on distance from our Nampa yard. You can also pick up at 220 11th Ave N in Nampa during business hours.

What attachments are available for your skid steers?

Every mini excavator in our fleet comes with a tooth bucket and a thumb — the thumb is a clamp-style attachment that works with the bucket to grab and hold material like rocks, stumps, brush, and debris. We offer a few bucket sizes depending on the unit: a 12-inch tooth bucket (fits our 26, 30, and 35P units), an 18-inch tooth bucket (35P), a 24-inch tooth bucket (35P), and 12-inch and 18-inch tooth buckets for the 17P. Hydraulic breaker attachments are available on select units for concrete and rock work. Trailer rentals are also available as an add-on if you need to haul the machine yourself — call (208) 495-5858 to confirm which bucket, breaker, and trailer fit your job.

What do I need to rent a skid steer?

A valid driver's license, a credit card for the deposit, and proof of insurance for higher-value machines. We'll walk you through the rental agreement and equipment safety briefing at pickup or delivery. First-time renters are welcome.

How long can I rent a skid steer?

We offer 4-hour, daily, weekly, and monthly rates, and machines are available for both short jobs and extended projects. Longer rentals get better effective rates. If you're planning a project longer than a month, give us a call to discuss extended-rental pricing.

Can I use a skid steer for snow removal or driveway grading?

Yes. Skid steers are commonly used for snow plowing and removal in winter, and for gravel driveway grading, leveling, and resurfacing year-round. Pair the right attachment — a plow or push box for snow, a box blade or land leveler for driveways — and one machine handles both jobs. Ask us at booking which attachment fits your work.

Can homeowners rent skid steers, or only contractors?

Both. We rent to licensed contractors and homeowners alike. If you're a homeowner taking on a project for the first time, we're happy to help you pick the right machine and walk through the basics.
