Boom Lift Rentals That Get You to Working Height
Apex Equipment Rental keeps an electric towable boom lift ready for contractors, tradespeople, and homeowners across Idaho's Treasure Valley. Our JLG ET350 articulating boom delivers 35 ft of working height and reaches 18 ft horizontally — enough to paint a two-story exterior, prune mature trees, or clean second-story gutters from a stable platform. It's quiet, fume-free, and light enough to tow behind a half-ton truck or SUV with a 2-inch ball. Pick up at our Nampa yard or have it delivered to your job site in Boise, Caldwell, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Middleton, or Kuna.
What Treasure Valley Renters Use the ET350 For

Exterior Painting & Sealing
Paint, stain, or seal a two-story exterior without leaning a ladder against fresh siding. The 18 ft horizontal outreach means one outrigger setup covers a wide section of wall — fewer repositions, faster jobs.

Tree Work & Limb Removal
Reach into mature cottonwoods, maples, and pines without climbing. The articulating boom lets you maneuver around branches and position the basket exactly where the cut needs to happen. Safer than a ladder, faster than ropes.

Roofing & Gutter Access
Clean gutters, replace soffit and fascia, install holiday lights, or inspect a roof without climbing onto it. The basket positions you safely above the gutter line with both hands free for the work.

Boom Lift Rental FAQs
How much does it cost to rent a boom lift in Nampa or Boise?
Rates depend on rental duration. 4-hour, daily, weekly, and monthly rates are available on our JLG ET350, and you can see live pricing by selecting your dates in our online rental portal. Longer rentals get better effective rates. For job-specific quotes or to confirm availability, call us at (208) 495-5858.
How high does the boom lift reach?
The JLG ET350 has 34 ft 6 in of platform height and roughly 35 ft of working height — high enough to reach the eaves of most two-story homes, prune mature shade trees, and access second-story windows and gutters. It also offers 18 ft 9 in of horizontal outreach, which means you can extend the basket sideways over landscaping, fences, or other obstacles without repositioning the machine.
Do you deliver the boom lift to my location?
Yes. We deliver across the Treasure Valley, including Nampa, Boise, Caldwell, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Middleton, and Kuna. Delivery fees depend on distance from our Nampa yard. The ET350 is also light enough to tow yourself — about 3,600 lb with a 250 lb tongue weight and a standard 2-inch ball hitch. Most half-ton trucks, SUVs with a tow package, and even some midsize vehicles can pull it.
Is the boom lift electric or gas? Can I use it indoors?
The ET350 is fully electric — 24V DC powered by four 6V deep-cycle batteries. It produces no exhaust and runs quietly, which makes it well-suited for indoor work in warehouses, large commercial spaces, and event venues, as well as residential neighborhoods where engine noise would be a problem. A full battery charge gives you a typical workday of use; the included smart charger refills overnight on standard 110V power.
What do I need to rent a boom lift?
A valid driver's license, a credit card for the deposit, and proof of insurance. We'll walk you through the rental agreement and a brief equipment safety overview at pickup or delivery, including how to deploy the auto-leveling outriggers and operate the controls. OSHA requires aerial lift operator training for commercial use — if you're a contractor renting for a job site, make sure your operator is trained and certified before arrival.
Can I tow the boom lift with my truck or SUV?
Most likely yes. The ET350 weighs about 3,600 lb with a tongue weight of 250 lb, and it tows with a standard 2-inch ball hitch at highway speeds up to 65 mph. That's well within the towing capacity of any half-ton pickup, most full-size SUVs, and many midsize trucks and SUVs with a factory or aftermarket tow package. Check your vehicle's towing capacity and make sure you have working trailer brake wiring before pickup.
Can I use the boom lift for painting, tree trimming, or holiday lights?
Yes — those are exactly the jobs the ET350 is built for. It's a popular choice for residential and light commercial exterior painting, tree pruning and limb removal, gutter cleaning, soffit and fascia work, sign maintenance, holiday light installation, and second-story window cleaning. The articulating boom and 18 ft horizontal outreach let you position the basket precisely where the work is, including over landscaping or other obstacles that would block a straight-up scissor lift or a ladder.
Can homeowners rent the boom lift, or only contractors?
Both. We rent to licensed contractors, tradespeople, and homeowners. If you're a homeowner taking on an exterior project — painting, tree work, gutter cleaning, holiday lights — we're happy to walk you through how the ET350 sets up and operates at pickup or delivery. Aerial work always carries risk, so we'll cover the basics; for any job involving electrical lines, steep slopes, or unfamiliar conditions, we recommend hiring a trained operator.
